Whilst able to alleviate successfully many muscular conditions through massage alone, where appropriate, Deborah combines massage with acupuncture to achieve even better, much longer lasting results.

This combination is particularly good for sufferers of back, shoulder or joint pain, or for individuals suffering with ingrained muscular issues anywhere in the body.  Within the treatment, moxa (dried mugwort) a Chinese herb may be used.  The moxa is applied to the end of acupuncture needles and burnt to send heat into the body to further relieve symptoms.  Alternately, a moxa stick may also be used without the aid of needles that directs localised heat to the affected region.

If acupuncture needles are used in the treatment they will be left in for 20 minutes to allow for one cycle of qi to circulate in the body to affect the necessary changes.  As a qualified Acupuncturist the treatment will be more in depth with some distal points being used and will therefore have more potency than simple dry needling you may receive from a practitioner who is not qualified in Chinese Medicine.

Deborah practices from clinics in East Dulwich and Holborn.

“I've found Deborah's massage and acupuncture sessions invaluable for the relief of stress and anxiety and the enhancement of wellbeing. Highly recommended!”
