Massage & Pregnancy MAssage London
“After more than 15 years in clinical practice, one thing I’ve learnt is that you can be taught massage techniques, but you can’t be taught touch… A routine massage may follow a formula, but working intuitively with the body — releasing restrictions and easing blockages — is what makes a treatment stand out.
With the added knowledge of acupuncture and meridian points, I can encourage the body to fully relax and respond in a deeper way. I also massage the way I like to receive massage myself: with a confident, firm touch, including during pregnancy treatments. My acupuncture training gives me the awareness of when to adapt pressure, so every massage feels both effective and safe.”
“Deborah treated me when I was a total wreck. I was plagued with migraine and excessive amounts of shoulder tension. She gave me an acupuncture/massage combo and I left the clinic finally pain free after weeks of agony. I trust her touch and now have a monthly ‘tune up’ with her to keep my body and mental state in optimum condition. I no longer need painkillers to relieve symptoms and recommend Deborah’s magic fingers to friends and family alike.”

Relax. Rejuvenate. Restore. Remedial Massage London
From injury recovery to relaxation and pain relief during pregnancy, massage treatments are proven to help relieve stress and reduce aches and pains caused by everyday living.
You can target specific injuries or problems such as back pain or shoulder tension or have a full body treatment to boost circulation and detoxification.
It is well known that massage results in physiological changes in the body. The techniques used cause a reduction in the production of the stress hormone cortisol and an increase in the product of serotonin and positive endorphins produced in the brain.
A relaxing massage will also lower blood pressure and slow the rate of breathing which calms the mind and helps the brain to move in to restorative alpha brain waves from the busy beta waves that we usually operate at when occupied with tasks.
As well as these changes, massage will warm the muscles, boost the circulation and help to drain lymphatic fluid – an important part of the immune system.

Of all the massage treatments I provide, this is the one both my clients and I love the most, and the one that gets the best results.
Whilst I’m able to alleviate successfully many muscular conditions through massage alone, I find combining massage with acupuncture take the treatment to the next level – mentally and physically. It’s a tremendous stress buster.
This treatment can be especially helpful for back, shoulder, and joint pain, as well as long-standing muscular tension anywhere in the body. Sometimes I use moxa — a traditional Chinese herb (dried mugwort) — to add soothing heat and further relieve symptoms. This can be applied to the end of acupuncture needles or used on its own as a warming moxa stick over the affected area.
If acupuncture needles are included, they are usually left in for around 20 minutes to allow your body to reset and restore balance. Because I’m fully trained in Chinese Medicine, I’m able to use a wider range of points and techniques than simple dry needling, which makes the treatment more in-depth and effective.

Massage therapy is a wonderful complementary treatment during pregnancy, a time that is often very special but can also bring physical and hormonal changes. As the body adapts to support a growing baby, it’s common to experience pressure on joints and ligaments, which may lead to cramps, restless legs, water retention, low back pain, hip and pelvic discomfort, or even carpal tunnel symptoms.
Pregnancy massage can help ease these aches and pains while also offering a much-needed opportunity to switch off, recharge, and rest. The release of “happy hormones” during treatment not only supports you, but has a positive effect on your baby too.
I genuinely love supporting women through pregnancy, drawing on both my clinical experience and my acupuncture background. I’m always happy to share knowledge around pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period as part of your care.
Following the birth of the baby, a post-partum massage is tailored to help restore your body to its pre-partum condition. It addresses the stress of carrying and caring for a new-born. This pregnancy massage treatment can help speed recovery by bringing relief of sore muscles, and help you to relax more easily.
Treatments are carried out in a comfortable side-lying position with bolsters and cushions for support, and are suitable for all trimesters.

Massage therapy is ideal if you’re dealing with pain or those ongoing niggles that just don’t shift. It’s a chance to address the issues in your tissues while also decompressing from the pressures of a busy lifestyle. In my treatments, I work thoroughly on your aches and pains using Advanced Clinical Techniques, while at the same time promoting deep relaxation.
Its therapeutic effect can often eradicate the need for symptom-masking painkillers and restore movement and functionality. As a qualified Acupuncturist I have additional knowledge of the bodies meridian system and key points on the channels for achieving a deeper level of release from tension in the body.
A successful treatment will not only deal with the immediate source and symptom of discomfort, but aims to slow down and eventually banish its re-occurrence.
And if you’re trying to decide between this option and the massage & acupuncture combination, my recommendation is to try the combo. It works on both the soft tissue release and a meridian level for a deeper sense of relief.

In short, a holistic massage is a pleasant and simple way to keep the harmony of our body and mind and is the most commonly practised form of massage in the UK and is used for its therapeutic / relaxing effects. It uses a variety of classic long massage strokes together with specific deep tissue techniques, working on the body's soft tissues, muscles, tendons and fascia. To allow the greatest amount of relaxation this holistic massage is full body.
So if you’re feeling a little frazzled by London life and want to unwind, this is the one for you.
I found Deborah at 32 weeks pregnant as I was suffering with debilitating back and neck pain. Through weekly sessions I got huge relief and within 3 sessions I no longer had neck pain and my back pain was low/manageable. I ended up having weekly sessions until the end of my pregnancy. Beyond this her massages were very relaxing, she really knows what she’s doing and is unafraid to get stuck into those niggles! She’s also extremely easy to book with, all arranged over WhatsApp. Would highly recommend her to any pregnant women needing pain relief or a relaxing massage!
